Bed Bath & Beyond is committed to bringing the best product to our customers. We have created packaging and label specs that will ensure your product looks great and is merchandised with ease in our stores.

BB&B is working to identify safe more sustainable and cost-effective alternatives for our packaging. We need our vendors to consider using sustainable packaging as an option when presenting packaging concepts to our organization. Vendors should consider using paper that is FSC Certified or Recycled as a step towards helping the environment. In addition, vendors should look into using soy or vegetable based non-solvent inks for printing packaging. In connection with these efforts, BB&B is working to reduce the use of PVC in packaging when applicable. We encourage our vendors to label their product and bags constructed with PVC-free material such as PEVA or EVA when appropriate.

All Vendor or Buying Selling Agents are responsible for ensuring that their merchandise and any associated packaging is in compliance with the Model Toxics in Packaging Act, (Formerly known as "CONEG") which has been adopted by nearly half of the States in the United States. This legislation places limits on the amounts of lead, cadmium, chromium and mercury that can be in product packaging and requires vendors to obtain and retain certificates from accredited labs confirming that the product packaging complies with this legislation.

Our packaging/label specs have been developed to provide our vendors with all the packaging requirements we have for merchandise that is sold in our stores. Please note there is both a tab for vinyl bag specs as well as price ticket and label specs. Please note if vinyl bags and price tickets/labels are not purchased from BBB’s vendor of record, vendor must submit samples for approval to Bed Bath & Beyond. Sample must be approved before vendor goes into production. If vinyl bags and price tickets/labels are purchased from our pre-approved vendor, samples do not need to be submitted for approval.
